This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you use our mobile games, utility applications and website at https://dauchiel.com (collectively, our "Services"). Our Services may be accessed from different countries, and we aim to respect applicable privacy and data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), Australian privacy legislation and relevant US state privacy laws. Information We Collect
Depending on the Services you use, we may process the following information.
Information You Provide: When you contact us, request support or communicate with our company, you may provide your name and email address, details of your enquiry or support request, and information you voluntarily include in communications.
Game and Application Information: Our games and applications may process game progress, completed levels and achievements; in-game settings, hint balances and purchase entitlements; device type, operating system and application version; and technical information required to operate, troubleshoot and secure the application. Certain information, such as Portal Glide game progress and settings, is stored locally on your device. Locally stored information is not necessarily transmitted to our servers.
Advertising and Usage Information: When optional advertising is enabled and you have provided the required permissions, advertising partners may process device and advertising identifiers (where permitted), IP address and approximate location derived from network information, advertising impressions, interactions and performance information, and device characteristics and application usage signals. The information collected by advertising providers may be governed by their own privacy notices and applicable legal obligations. We do not require your precise GPS location to operate Portal Glide.
Advertising Partners and Consent
Some Dauchiel games, including Portal Glide, offer optional rewarded advertisements. For example, players may watch an advertisement in exchange for an in-game hint.
Portal Glide integrates Unity LevelPlay advertising mediation. Its configured iOS advertising networks include ironSource Ads and Unity Ads. These providers may process information to deliver, measure, secure and, where permitted, personalise advertisements. For further information about Unity's processing practices, please refer to the Unity Privacy Policy.
Advertising Choices on iOS: Before requesting optional rewarded advertisements, Portal Glide presents an advertising and privacy consent choice. If you agree to advertising-related data use, Apple may also display its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission request. Optional rewarded advertising is permitted only when the relevant in-app consent and Apple tracking authorisation requirements have been satisfied. You can decline optional advertising and continue playing the game. You can also change your choice through Portal Glide → Settings → Privacy Choices. Apple's device privacy settings provide additional controls over tracking permissions. If you withdraw consent, the game stops requesting further optional rewarded advertisements. Information already processed by an advertising partner may remain subject to that partner's applicable retention and legal obligations.
Advertising Choices on Android: Where applicable, our Android applications use Google's User Messaging Platform to present advertising consent choices. Available privacy options may be accessed through the application settings and your Android device's privacy controls. We respect applicable consent and opt-out requirements and aim to communicate relevant privacy choices to supported advertising providers.
How We Use Information
We process information where necessary to: operate and maintain our games, applications and website; save gameplay progress and provide requested features; fulfil and manage in-app purchases; respond to support requests; diagnose technical problems and improve reliability; protect against fraud, misuse and security threats; deliver optional advertising where appropriate permissions exist; and meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning users.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing depends on the activity.
Contractual necessity: To provide Services and features requested by users.
Legitimate interests: To maintain service security, troubleshoot problems and support proportionate business operations, subject to applicable legal safeguards.
Consent: For optional advertising, certain tracking activities, marketing communications or other processing requiring prior permission.
Legal obligations: Where processing is necessary to comply with applicable laws.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing undertaken before consent was withdrawn.
Third-Party Services and Information Sharing
We may use third-party providers to support our Services, including: Unity LevelPlay, ironSource Ads and Unity Ads for applicable advertising features; Apple App Store and Google Play for application distribution and in-app purchases; website hosting and technical service providers; and other providers supporting security, diagnostics or customer assistance where enabled. These providers may process information as service providers or, in certain circumstances, as independent data controllers.
We may also disclose information where required by law or in connection with a lawful business transfer.
We do not sell personal information provided directly through support enquiries for monetary payment. However, certain privacy laws define the "sharing" of information for targeted advertising more broadly than a monetary sale. Where such laws apply, users may have rights to opt out of relevant activities.
Portal Glide's iOS advertising configuration includes a do-not-sell/share privacy signal to supported advertising networks. This does not replace any rights or obligations imposed by applicable law.
In-App Purchases
Purchases within our games and applications are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details for these transactions. We may process purchase entitlement or transaction confirmation information necessary to provide purchased content and respond to support requests.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or to meet applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and the relevant Service.
For example: locally stored gameplay information may remain on your device until reset, deleted or otherwise affected by device storage and backup settings; support correspondence may be retained while an enquiry is being resolved and for an appropriate period thereafter; and transaction-related records may be retained where required for accounting, legal or dispute-resolution purposes. Third-party providers may operate their own retention policies.
You may request deletion of personal information that we control by contacting privacy@dauchiel.com.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to: access personal information held about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of eligible personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; request data portability where applicable; withdraw previously granted consent; and opt out of certain personal information sales, sharing or targeted advertising.
To exercise your rights, email privacy@dauchiel.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal time limits.
UK residents may raise concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office. Australian residents may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. Residents of other jurisdictions may also have rights to contact their relevant privacy or data protection authority.
Children's Privacy
We take children's privacy seriously. Our applications are subject to applicable age-rating requirements and any relevant child-protection obligations. Where parental permission or additional safeguards are required by law, we aim to apply those requirements before collecting or processing relevant personal information.
We do not intentionally use personal information from children for advertising activities prohibited by applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information in circumstances that breach applicable privacy requirements, please contact privacy@dauchiel.com.
Cookies and Website Technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to provide essential functionality, maintain security and, where enabled, understand website usage. Non-essential analytics or advertising technologies will be subject to applicable consent requirements. Where consent is required, we will provide appropriate information and choices before enabling those technologies. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings.
Our mobile applications may use device identifiers and SDK technologies rather than browser cookies. The relevant advertising controls are described in the Advertising Partners and Consent section above.
International Data Transfers
Our service providers may process personal information in countries outside your country of residence. Where applicable data protection laws require specific safeguards for international transfers, we will assess and implement an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism.
Information Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or loss. These measures may include secure communications, access controls and restrictions on access to relevant systems. Nevertheless, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.
Where a personal data breach requires notification under applicable law, we will comply with the relevant notification obligations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our Services, technologies, business operations or legal obligations change. When changes occur, we will update the revision date displayed at the beginning of this policy. Where a material change requires additional notice or renewed consent, we will take appropriate steps.
